Delegation led by Mr. Ganzorig Damdin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia is participating Judicial Seminar of the Rome Statute’s States’ Party and the Opening of the Judicial Year on the invitation of Mr. P. Hofmanski, President of the International Criminal Court in Hague, Netherlands.
The delegation included Justice D. Erdenebalsuren, candidate to the International Criminal Court Judge Election 2023. Justice D.Erdenebalsuren was nominated by the en banc of the Supreme Court of Mongolia.
The seminar was organized under the theme of the role of the national court in the criminal justice system of the country, the role of the judiciary in solving crimes against humanity, war, aggression, and genocide, the role of the judiciary, the protection of evidence and witnesses, the interpretation of international humanitarian law, and the judicial system discussed important issues including cooperation between organizations.
The delegation led by the Chief Justice met with the President of the International Criminal Court, P. Hofmanski, the Prosecutor General of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, and the President of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations, Joan Donoghue. They exchanged views on the possibility of involving the Mongolian court staff in their secondment and training exchange program and agreed to work actively.
