Mr.Ganzorig Damdin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Mr. Khosbayar Chagdaa, Presiding Justice of the Criminal Case Chamber met with Mr. Gabit Koishibayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia and Mr.Sabit Negmetzhanov, Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 5, 2023.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chief Justice gave a brief presentation on the amendments to the Constitution, the concept of the Law on the Courts of Mongolia, and ongoing process of judicial reform.
Ambassador Gabit Koishibayev mentioned that Kazakhstan pays special attention to judicial reform and emphasized that the priority is to exchange experiences from the judicial reform of Mongolia.
The parties agreed on the development of cooperation between the Supreme Courts of the two countries, exchanging experience in digitalization and other fields, and organizing training for court administrative staff, and expressed his willingness to work actively. He said, "We are ready to work as a bridge between the judicial authorities of the two countries”.
Chief Justice D. Ganzorig gave brief information about the upcoming regional seminar of the International Criminal Court which will be organized in Mongolia from August 28 to September 1, 2023, and invited the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate as a guest. The Ambassador expressed that the information about the seminar and the invitation will be immediately forwarded to the relevant institutions of Kazakhstan and wished success in future cooperation.
