On September 14, 2026, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia Ts. Tsogt received a delegation of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA), led by IACA President Pamela Harris.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of hosting the IACA’s forthcoming international conference in Mongolia, as well as on prospective areas of cooperation and joint activities between the IACA and the Mongolian judiciary.
President Pamela Harris highlighted that the conference would provide an important platform for participating countries to share experiences and good practices concerning common challenges in court administration, including judicial independence, judicial caseloads, and court budgeting. In this regard, she invited Chief Justice Ts. Tsogt to deliver a keynote address at the session on “Judicial Independence” to be held as part of the IACA conference in Mongolia.
Chief Justice Ts. Tsogt reaffirmed the Supreme Court of Mongolia’s readiness to provide the necessary support for hosting the international conference in Mongolia. He expressed his view that, once the dates of the conference are determined, participation should extend beyond court administration officials to include judges, thereby providing an opportunity to discuss pressing issues facing the judiciary and learn from international experiences and good practices.
He further proposed that, in developing the conference agenda, particular attention be given to practical solutions and approaches adopted by other countries in addressing challenges similar to those currently faced by Mongolia.
The parties also exchanged views on prospective areas of cooperation and jointly implemented activities and agreed to coordinate the preparations for hosting the conference in a phased and mutually coordinated manner.
The meeting was attended by D. Uuganbayar, Head of the Administration and Management Division of the Secretariat of the Supreme Court of Mongolia; Z. Gerelmaa, Acting Head of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Office; G. Davaadorj, Member of the Judicial General Council; B. Sugarmaa, Senior Referent of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Office; and Kevin Bowling, Director of Operations of the International Association for Court Administration.
